Associate

Committed students can get to know SMP Strategy Consulting during an internship. As an Associate, you become member of a project team and are involved in the project work from the very beginning. In this way, you will be able to prove your skills in front of our customers from day one. At the same time, you will gain insight into the work of a strategy consulting firm. If you perform very well in your internship and your graduation is just around the corner, we offer you a spot in the so-called Fast Track at SMP. During your internship you may receive a full-time offer for the time after your studies. Above-average performance will be rewarded with admission to our Talent Circle. We will support you until the end of your studies with further training, know-how transfer, mentoring and exclusive SMP events.

Requirements: An advanced degree in business and/or economics (at least 4 semesters absolved) with excellent grades, initial practical experience (ideally in a management consultancy or a SMP core industry) and fluency in German.

Consultant

After successfully completing your master's degree, you will start your career as a Consultant at SMP Strategy Consulting. From day one, your responsibilities will be as exciting as they vary: Challenging projects with a focus on growth strategies and operational excellence with clients from various industries await you. These include many DAX 30 companies. Through purposive development of your strengths and interests, you will continuously expand your professional and industry expertise.

Requirements: A degree in business and/or economics with excellent grades, at least two internships in a management consultancy or SMP core industry as well as fluency in German.

Professional

Candidates with professional experience may join SMP as Senior Consultants or Project Managers - depending on their previous professional qualifications. By developing the existing client base with us and working on new topics and industries, you will actively participate in shaping the future of SMP.

Requirements: At least two or four years of relevant professional experience in a management consultancy or a SMP core industry, initial leadership experience as well as fluency in German.

Application process

If you would like to join us on a permanent basis, you will pass through various stages during our application day. After you have gained a first impression of our office during the guided tour, we will get started:

In several interviews with a focus on personal fit, case studies and other questions about the daily work of a Consultant, you will demonstrate your analytical, conceptual and linguistic skills. If you pass all interviews, a final partner interview rounds off the day. Between the different interview rounds, we invite you to an informal lunch with SMP Consultants.

Application documents should include a letter of motivation, a CV and all relevant certificates of employment, internships, university and school career.
